Bring whatever fuels your imagination – art, performance, talks, workshop, flame effects, your own party, or something completely different.

It’s all about getting involved!
Underland wouldn’t be the same without you. And we’re not even joking. It’d be a few porta-loos in a field… Everything that you see at Underland has been imagined and realised by you, the participants.
The music, the artwork, the events, the camps – all brought along by hard-working folk like yourself. And to cap it all off, the event is run entirely by volunteers too. From the ticketing folk at the gate to the site managers keeping you safe and the accountants doing their part six-months after the event, everyone volunteers their time and effort to make Underland happen. Pretty cool, huh?
Community and volunteer contribution has always been at the core of what Underland is all about. For Underland 2026, we're going to need you even more, and timing will mean everything if you want to see it become a 6-night event.
Yep! You read that right... If you haven't heard, the theme for Underland 2026 is Threshold, and to get totally meta on you, there's an essential threshold we'll need to cross before 6 days of Underland can happen in 2026. And CAV members are the key ingredient. Keep reading to find out how you can contribute.

One More Night?*
At Underland 2025, the CAV committee heard feedback from several people expressing the desire to run Underland for an extra night.
We love the idea and, at the same time, we still don't have enough co-creators for critical teams.
Given these tensions, we are happy to announce that we will extend Underland 2026 by an extra night, starting on Wednesday 23rd September and ending on Monday 28th September 2026. However, this will rely on certain conditions being met, which you can learn about HERE.
If you're already convinced and ready to take action, first you'll need to become a Common Arts Victoria member (It costs nothing and could mean everything).
