Centre Camp is the heart and soul of Underland and is an inclusive, fun and accessible space where everyone can hold a workshop or event; if you've got an idea for a performance, workshop, activation, ritual, whatever...

Centre Camp is where you can make your vision come to life!

No stress if your performance or idea is still a work in progress, just come as you are, express your creativity and have some fun! It's more about the experience than perfection.

Here is some important info to help you with your application, please read this BEFORE you submit your application:

THE BASICS

• Centre Camp will open at 12pm on Thursday 24 Sept and close at 10pm on Sunday 27 Sept 2026.
• Centre Camp cannot be booked during Org events such as Welcome to Country, Effigy and Temple Burn (and others TBC)
• Centre Camp applications will be reviewed and approved on a first in, best dressed basis. If there is a clash, we will work with you to find another time that works. Bribery might work too
• We will let you know the outcome of your workshop application via email as soon as practicable 
• Centre Camp is sheltered by a sweet stretch tent and has carpets and cushions to keep everyone comfy
• Centre Camp and Artery are housemates and share the space together
• Basic lighting is provided for night time workshops

WORKSHOPS + NOISE

• It's OK if your event is not suitable for kids, just let us know in the application
• Centre Camp is not a doof space - if you want to play a DJ set we suggest that you chat with a Sound Camp
• Non EDM musical performances are welcome 
• Please consider and minimise any MOOP (Matter Out Of Place) that your event or workshop may generate, and plan for you and your participants to Leave No Trace at Centre Camp or anywhere else at Underland
• Workshops bookings can be a maximum of 2 hours in duration. Shorter bookings are welcome. We might schedule more than one event at the same time if suitable.
• Workshops can be booked between 10am - 10pm except on Thursday 25 Sept when we open at 12pm
• The space can be booked 10am -10pm for quieter, chill activities with no/low amplification e.g. yoga, meditation
• Centre Camp has a basic sound system with 2 x handheld corded mics and a mixer with inputs for phone or laptop
• Workshops that require the sound system must be booked outside quiet times
