Underland 2025 is coming up fast and we know you’re all keen to get your hands on a ticket. Tickets go on sale TODAY, and we wanted to give you a clear picture of the ticket price and how we’ve arrived at it.

The most helpful thing you can do for the organising crew? Buy your ticket early. Early sales give us the confidence and clarity to plan properly, commit to infrastructure and support systems, and deliver the best version of Underland we can.

Balancing Costs

Firstly we do understand that the cost of living crisis affects our membership as much as any other part of the wider community. We have done everything we can to keep ticket prices low whilst also being fiscally responsible given the challenges of running festivals in the current environment.

Our teams do a magnificent job of delivering Underland on a super tight budget. We are still a small event and a number of must-have items such as medical, land hire, and security, don’t scale well. We’re also seeing rising costs on fuel and insurance which impacts our bottom line. Our financials for last year’s event will be delivered at our AGM in November but we can say that it looks like we made a very slight profit and we would love to have a little more wiggle room for any unforeseen expenses.

Supporting Art and Community Projects

We also love to fund art! This year we’re continuing our commitment to creative expression by allocating:

10% of revenue to art grants
5% to Ignition Community Grants

That’s in addition to the full investment in the effigy and temple, which have become spectacular cornerstones of our shared experience.

Planning for the Future

This year’s budget includes two one-off items that help future-proof the event:

We’ll be starting the process to secure a new permit for Underland 2027 and beyond
We’re also investing in a second storage container to handle our growing infrastructure needs between events

Both of these additions help us stay resilient in an increasingly uncertain festival landscape.
